Meerkats in Namibia |
|
Meerkats live in social groups called "mobs" or "gangs." A mob may have as many as 30 members, who are lead by a dominant female and a dominant male. I photographed these cute guys at the Kokerboom Forest Rest Camp in Namibia. In the morning they hung outside the main residence at the camp, until they were fed a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs. These guys were so curious that they pressed their noses against my camera lens.
