"…safari means 'journey' in Swahili"

Christmas Jello, aka The Yummiest Jello Ever (no kidding)

I bet that Rachel Ray has never had Jello that tasted this good? The secret to its yumminess lies in its middle white layer. Now if you want this secret recipe, you'll first have to buy my "Safari" DVD. Just kidding!

INGREDIENTS:

1 - 6 oz box of lime Jello
1 - 6 oz box of cherry Jello
1 - Envelope of Knox unflavored gelatine
1 - Cup of Half & Half
1 - Cup of sugar
1 - Cup of sour cream

GREEN LAYER:

Start with the green layer by mixing the 6 oz packet of lime Jello with 1 Cup of boiling water in a mixing bowl. Stir until the Jello has completely dissolved and then add 1 Cup of cold water to cool it. Stir the water into the Jello, pour it into your serving dish, and place it in your refrigerator. Let the Jello stand for an hour or two before making the next layer.

WHITE LAYER:

Dissolve 1 Cup of Half & Half with 1 Cup of sugar in a double boiler. Add 1 envelope of gelatin and cook for 5 minutes while stirring. Remove it from heat and stir in 1 Cup of sour cream. Let this mixture cool a little and then carefully pour it over the green layer and place it back into the refrigerator.

RED LAYER:

Follow the directions for the green layer using cherry Jello.
